A US Air Force F-16 fighter jet has crashed in Germany, forcing the pilot to eject from the aircraft, it has been reported.
The incident is believed to have happened near Spangdahlem Air Base, in the region of Eifel, according to RTL Today.
Initial reports suggest the pilot was attempting to land when the crash took place.
The aircraft is said to have plunged to the ground onto a golf course near the B50 road between Binsfeld and Spangdahlem.
