More than two months after a plane accident with 23 deaths in Bolivia, the investigative authorities have arrested the two pilots of the plane involved in the accident.

The public prosecutor’s office filed charges on suspicion of negligent homicide and negligent injury, as the Bolivian agency abi reported. 37 people were also injured in the accident.

The Bolivian Air Force military aircraft came off the runway and crashed while landing at El Alto airport. The machine had transported central bank cash, but the notes had no official numbering or serial number and were therefore worthless. (sda/dpa)
