More than three weeks after the double earthquake in Venezuela, the death toll has exceeded 5,000. According to the latest balance sheet from the authorities in the South American country, the number of confirmed deaths is now 5,069. More than 16,700 people were also injured, as Jorge RodrÃguez, President of the National Assembly and brother of Acting President Delcy RodrÃguez, announced on X.

After the devastating earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 on June 24 within just 39 seconds, the European Union made 20 million euros available for humanitarian aid. Since the earthquake, 80 tons of relief supplies have also been airlifted to Venezuela.
