US President Donald Trump continues to enjoy “excellent health” according to his annual physical examination. Trump shows strong functions in the lungs and heart, in the neurological area and in his general physical condition, according to the summary of the medical check that the White House published on the X platform on Friday evening (local time).
Overall, the document is full of top results and values within the normal range. Trump’s cardiovascular system corresponds to that of someone around 14 years younger, his personal physician Sean Barbabella confirmed to the president, who will be 80 years old on June 14th. Trump himself had already raved about a “perfect” outcome after the examination in the military hospital in Washington a few days ago.
Bruises from shaking hands while taking aspirin
The document explained noticeable complaints that repeatedly trigger speculation about the president’s state of health: According to this, the bruises found on his hands were caused by frequent handshaking in combination with aspirin, which Trump is recommended to take in low doses as a blood thinner. Slight swelling in the lower legs has improved compared to last year.
Also mentioned was the scarring on his right ear as a result of the gunshot wound Trump sustained in the assassination attempt in the summer of 2024.
The examination also contains medical advice to Trump to exercise more and lose more weight. (sda/dpa)
