For the first time since 2018, Switzerland has to bow out in the semi-finals of the ESC. This, although Veronica Fusaro delivered a strong performance with her title “Alice”, both were aware of that The watson ticker quartet and our users largely agree.
But there was also agreement about the ESC suitability of Fusaro’s rock number: With “Alice” and the serious content of the piece, the hearts of the Eurovision audience could hardly be won.
The watson comment on the ESC-Out:
Fusaro takes the early exit with composure, even though she said in an initial statement after the show:
“The disappointment is initially great at this moment.”
But she is happy that many people have discovered her and her music. And she is grateful that she was able to tell the story of “Alice” to the European audience, she is quoted as saying in a statement from the Swiss delegation. Fusaro’s song is about a young woman whose boundaries have been exceeded; she wants to give a voice to victims of psychological violence in particular.
The 29-year-old from Thun with Italian roots became known in Switzerland in 2014 as a participant in the casting show “The Voice of Switzerland”. She doesn’t want to dwell on the early failure at the ESC for too long. Fusaro is embarking on a European tour in the fall with her current album, which she is already looking forward to: “My dream lives on and I’m looking forward to the many shows that I’ll be able to play in Europe in the fall!”
