Ukraine has again attacked Russian oil facilities on the Baltic Sea near St. Petersburg with drones. The governor of the metropolitan area, Alexander Drozdenko, reported that 67 enemy drones had been shot down. There was no independent confirmation of this, but it does indicate a larger attack.

Parts of drones were based in the port of Vysotsk on the Gulf of Finland, Drozdenko said, according to the Russian state news agency Tass. There is a large oil loading terminal in Vysotsk.
Another hit on the oil port of St. Petersburg?
In addition, the oil port of St. Petersburg itself appears to have been hit, as videos in Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels suggest. There was no information about this from the management of the megacity.
The Russian Defense Ministry only confirmed attacks on the outskirts of St. Petersburg, but not on the city area. It was said that 389 Ukrainian combat drones were intercepted across the country overnight.
Most recently, Ukraine set fire to tanks in the oil port of St. Petersburg at the beginning of June when Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s International Economic Forum was about to begin there. The city is more than 1000 kilometers from Ukraine.
Dead in bomb attack on Ukrainian city of Sumy
At least four people were killed in a Russian bomb attack in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy on Friday evening, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced. There are also 27 injured. People are still suspected to be buried in the rubble of a residential building. According to the Sumy regional administration, the Russian Air Force attacked the city center with six glide bombs. Fighter jets release these bombs in the safety of their own airspace, and they are then directed over dozens of kilometers to their target. (dab/sda/dpa)
