Ukraine attacked Russia with hundreds of drones during the night and again targeted the largest Russian online mail order company.
The governor of the Leningrad region around the metropolis of St. Petersburg, Alexander Drozdenko, wrote on Telegram that 59 drones were fended off. As a result of the attacks, a fire broke out on the premises of the online mail order company Wildberries in the village of Novosaratowka. Three people were injured.

A warehouse at a poultry factory in the Sinjavino settlement was also badly damaged. Large columns of smoke could be seen in the St. Petersburg area.
Wildberries founder Tatjana Kim said on Telegram that three of the company’s logistics centers had been attacked in St. Petersburg, the surrounding area and on the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea, which was annexed by Russia. She wrote that there were no injuries and that some of the areas and goods could be secured. Ukraine had already hit the warehouses of the largest Russian online mail order company several times in the past few days.
Moscow-appointed Crimean leader Sergei Aksyonov wrote on Telegram of two deaths as a result of Ukrainian attacks. Five people were injured.
Moscow: More than 570 Ukrainian drones intercepted
The Defense Ministry in Moscow said it had intercepted 571 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory and the annexed Black Sea peninsula of Crimea. The numbers cannot be independently verified, but they allow conclusions to be drawn about the intensity of the Ukrainian counterattacks.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion with Western help for more than four years. For months, it has greatly expanded its counterattacks on Russian territory, primarily with drones. (sda/dpa)
