After the massive criticism of Donald Trump for his portrayal of Jesus on social media, the US President has stepped up his game. On his Truth Social platform, he published an image generated by another Internet user, this time showing him side by side with Jesus Christ embracing him. “The crazy, radical left might not like this, but I think it’s pretty nice,” Trump wrote.
In further posts published in quick succession, he wrote that Chinese President Xi Jinping would thank him with a hug for opening the Strait of Hormuz, and shared an article critical of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s defense policy.

Trump’s mix: Jesus, Xi, Obama, Starmer, secret services
He was also annoyed that former US President Barack Obama was depicted with a halo on the covers of magazines without causing a wave of outrage. The series of posts was rounded off by a long statement about the upcoming extension of a law on the powers of the secret services in the US House of Representatives.
Recently there was harsh criticism of Trump for his self-portrait as Jesus. On Sunday evening, a picture was published on Trump’s profile on the Truth Social platform that showed him as Jesus – shortly after a dispute with Pope Leo XIV. The US President could be seen laying his hand on a man lying down. Around Trump, a soldier and a nurse, among others, look up to him. The US flag, the Statue of Liberty and an eagle as the emblem of the United States can also be seen. The corresponding post and image have now been deleted. Trump later explained that he thought he was seen as a “doctor” in the picture. (sda/dpa)
