According to authorities, three French tourists have died in a boat accident in Oman. As the police in Oman announced on X, a boat with a group of 25 French vacationers as well as a tour guide and the captain on board capsized. Two other tourists suffered minor injuries.

Civil Defense said the accident occurred in the Muscat governorate in the northeast of the country. Local media reported that the boat was heading to the Daimaniyat Islands, northeast of the capital Muscat. The islands are known for their almost untouched nature and underwater world. (pre/sda)
