A Swiss man living in Panama has become the victim of a homicide. The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (EDA) confirmed the incident to the Keystone-SDA news agency on Friday.
“Blick” first reported on it. According to Panamanian media, the man was shot dead in an attack in the Juan Díaz district. This is said to have been disguised as a false police check.
The Swiss embassy in San José is in contact with the responsible Panamanian authorities, the FDFA said. For reasons of data and personal protection, the Foreign Ministry did not provide any further information. (leo/sda)
