On Saturday evening, a 26-year-old German and a 33-year-old Swiss caused a police operation in the German capital Berlin. The two were then temporarily arrested, according to a statement from the Berlin Federal Police Directorate.

According to the report, the 26-year-old smeared a glass pane on an S-Bahn with a felt-tip pen, which was noticed by a federal police officer. He was off duty, but spoke to the woman and identified himself as a police officer. According to the police department, the German responded with insults.

The 33-year-old Swiss companion intervened and held an animal repellent spray in front of the police officer’s face. At the same time he threatened him verbally. The Swiss then sprayed the spray on the S-Bahn, injuring a 19-year-old.

According to the information, the S-Bahn stopped at Berlin-Ostkreuz station, where the woman attacked the federal police officer and his companion. The police officer then took her to the ground.

Uniformed emergency services arrived to provide reinforcements and arrested the woman. According to the statement, she resisted. The 33-year-old Swiss was also arrested.

The woman is being investigated on suspicion of damage to property, bodily harm, resisting law enforcement officers and violating the weapons law – she was carrying brass knuckles and a firecracker.

The police are investigating the Swiss on suspicion of threats, grievous bodily harm and physical attacks on law enforcement officers. After the police measures were completed, the two were released, according to the police department. (hkl)
