The long-time protagonist of the social documentary “Hartz und Herzen” is dead. Regina, known to many viewers as a resolute pensioner from Rostock, died on Monday evening, December 29, 2025.
RTLzwei confirmed the news via the show’s official Instagram channel. It says: “It makes us very sad that you are no longer with us. You will be missed and remain in our hearts.”
The Rostock native was considered one of the most famous personalities within the RTLzwei series. For years, the camera accompanied her through her everyday life – characterized by directness, dry humor and the ability to openly address difficult life situations.
Her appearances often differed from other formats in the station’s community cosmos, as Regina also found recognition beyond the screen thanks to her authentic nature. She was valued in her hometown – regardless of her television presence.
There is correspondingly great sympathy for the sudden death at the age of 70. Many people express their condolences on social networks. Health setbacks increased
Regina’s life story was also marked by loss and health setbacks. Her fiancé Norbert, whom she met when she was older, died of a brain tumor a few years ago. After his death, it was implied in the program, she was no longer quite the same. She subsequently suffered, among other things, a stroke and a heart attack.
