Russia
Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin has congratulated the USA on the 250th anniversary of independence. “Dear Mr. President, dear Donald,” Putin began his congratulatory telegram, which was published by the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow. The USA’s Declaration of Independence not only marked the beginning of the state, but was also an important milestone in world history. Russia, then still under the tsar, supported the North American colonists.
Putin highlighted “numerous glorious chapters” in two and a half centuries of history of relations between the two countries. “We were allies in two world wars, together we freed humanity from the horrors of National Socialism and then played an important role in laying the foundations of the modern world order,” Putin wrote. Even in today’s world, Russia and the USA, as nuclear powers, have a special responsibility for ensuring security and stability on a global level.

After a handshake emoji, Putin concluded: “I wish you, Donald, and your loved ones health, well-being and success, and all American citizens happiness and prosperity.”
Great Britain
King Charles III congratulated not only the President but also the American people on their anniversary. “This year marks a truly historic milestone and is an occasion for celebration for Americans everywhere,” wrote the British monarch in his welcoming address. It is also an opportunity to pause and look at everything the USA has achieved since 1776.
In his message, Charles also discussed the British relationship with the Americans: it is a story of “extraordinary development – from overcoming previous conflicts to building one of the closest and most successful alliances the world has ever seen.” “Together we face the challenges of today and the opportunities of tomorrow.” He has no doubt that the two countries will continue to defend their shared values over the next 250 years. As an example, Charles cited the responsibility to protect nature. Environmental protection is very important to the monarch.

Trump is considered a fan of the British royal family. It was only in April that Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, traveled to the USA for a state visit lasting several days. The US President received the royal couple in the White House. The visit came at a time when relations between the two countries were strained, among other things, by the Iran War. For Charles, it was therefore seen as a diplomatic balancing act. Trump was then full of praise for the monarch.
