According to authorities, at least five people were killed in a Russian attack in the southeastern Ukrainian industrial city of Dnipro.
28 were injured, wrote the head of the military administration of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Olexander Hanscha, on Telegram. A private company was also damaged in the attack. The regional prosecutor’s office spoke of a rocket attack. Dnipro is an important location for the Ukrainian defense industry.
Authorities also reported victims in the neighboring Zaporizhia region. Three people were killed and eight others injured, military governor Ivan Fedorov wrote on Telegram. The Russian military attacked a bus in a district of Zaporizhia with a drone.
In addition to the attacks in Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj also spoke of attacks on the energy infrastructure in the Sumy, Odessa and Chernihiv regions as well as strikes in the Kherson and Kharkiv regions. He said once again that his country needed more resources for air defense, especially against ballistic missiles.
