After his series of concerts in Amsterdam, British pop star Harry Styles thanked the city with a huge newspaper ad, triggering a hype on the Internet. In the Saturday edition of the daily newspaper “Het Parool” there is a handwritten message from Styles thanking him for the hospitality. Now there is a run on the newspaper.
The newspaper edition is available for purchase on advertising portals. There is huge demand on social media. According to Dutch media reports, up to 200 euros per newspaper copy are now being offered.

The newspaper is sold out almost everywhere in the country. The editor-in-chief is astonished by the success and, according to a report by the ANP news agency, is now considering a second printing of the Saturday edition.
“Thank you, I love you!”
The British star has given ten concerts in Amsterdam in the past few weeks. “Thank you, I love you!” it says in Dutch, addressed to the city of Amsterdam. Styles writes in English: “Amsterdam, you never forget the first time. Thank you for hosting us!” The singer will now continue his tour in London. (sda/dpa)
