After the shooting at a gala dinner in Washington with US President Donald Trump, top international politicians as well as personalities from the USA expressed their dismay. «Violence has no place in a democracy. “I assure Donald Trump of my unconditional support,” wrote French President Emmanuel Macron on Platform X, calling the attack unacceptable.

Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni expressed her condolences to Trump and everyone present. «No political hatred should have any place in our democracies. We will not allow fanaticism to poison the spaces of free debate and information,” she wrote in a post.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on X that he and his wife Sara were shocked “about the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump.” “We send our wishes for a full and speedy recovery to the injured police officer and salute the US Secret Service for their quick and decisive action.”
