The French Armed Forces are purchasing Latvian BLAZE interceptor drones from Origin Robotics.
The contract was signed during the Eurosatory international exhibition in Paris, the company shared with Militarnyi.
The main goal of this procurement is to significantly enhance the French Army’s capabilities to counter enemy drones and protect troops.
Before making their final decision, French experts conducted comparative tests of equipment from various suppliers over the past few months. The BLAZE fully demonstrated its compliance with all operational requirements set by the French Ministry of Defense.

Under the signed agreement, the French company DSV will not only supply ready-to-use systems to the military but will also establish local assembly and licensed production facilities in France.
The BLAZE unmanned aerial vehicle itself is the first NATO-standardized interceptor drone, guided by radar and equipped with a warhead in accordance with STANAG requirements.
