Suspicious timing: People are giggling online about Channing Tatum’s Instagram story.Image: keystone
People News
Heartbreak is bad, and some people vent their pain on social media. But some celebrity men are as melodramatic as teenagers.

A few days ago it was announced that Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles had apparently gotten engaged. While fans congratulate, there is a reaction to talk about. Channing Tatum dated Kravitz for three years, including their engagement, before the couple split in 2024. Nevertheless, he now seems to mourn her.
Shortly after the engagement news, the “Magic Mike” star shared a poem on his Instagram story. It says: “My mind and heart split ten years ago over who was to blame for how messed up I became. Eventually they couldn’t be in the same room anymore.” Shortly afterwards, he posted a picture of a boxer who was visibly shaken from a fight but still said she was fine.

Of course, we don’t know what the actor actually wanted to say. But the timing seems suspicious, and so there is heated discussion – and giggles – online. Of course it’s not funny when someone has a broken heart. And it’s even good when men show their emotions. But the 46-year-old seems a bit theatrical – quite apart from the fact that he’s been in a relationship for a long time. And yet he is not the only celebrity man to react this way to his ex’s love news.
Football star Tom Brady also seemed to react quite dramatically to the wedding of his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. Last year he posted a selfie to his Instagram story on the same weekend. No big deal – if he hadn’t had the song “1-800-273-8255” playing along with it. The title is the old suicide prevention hotline, and the lyrics say: “I don’t want to live anymore.”
Does Brady actually react so melodramatically because his ex-wife is getting married again? Unclear. The post is still weird. Just like his sunset photo, which he took with the words “Can the child in my heart rise?” posted. Such pseudo-philosophical words are more suited to a lovesick teenager than to a grown man.
Tom Brady also spoke on his Instagram story.
Speaking of which: Selena Gomez announced her engagement in 2024 and appeared laughing with her ring on Instagram. When Justin Bieber later posted a picture of the “Lord of the Rings” character Gollum reaching for the ring, there was quick speculation as to whether this was a swipe. The singer wrote about the post: “Women on social media when they get engaged.” Growing up is different.

But the prize for the most absurd heartbreak post once again goes to Kanye West. After Queen Elizabeth II died in 2022, the rapper wrote in his Instagram story against a black background: “London, I know how you feel. I lost my queen too.” This meant Kim Kardashian, who divorced the rapper. Someone else is supposed to say that women are overly emotional.
