Depending on your perspective, an Austrian paraglider pilot was either extremely lucky or extremely unlucky. She started a flight near Zell am See and had already successfully maneuvered herself to a nice altitude using updrafts.
Then, as if out of nowhere, a small plane appears and flies past her head by a whisker. The entire paraglider is torn apart by the aircraft. In free fall, the pilot immediately manages to pull out her emergency parachute. She then struggles with her equipment for about two minutes in a decelerated but still relatively fast fall in order to prepare for an emergency landing.
She finally succeeds and lands fairly gently next to a field path. With great luck she survives the whole thing with only a few bruises and bruises.
The paragliding pilot shared the video of the entire incident on Instagram and wrote:

According to authorities, the small plane was piloted by a 28-year-old pilot who was on a flight to see the Alps. He was also uninjured in the incident. He stated that he did not see the paraglider in time to avoid it. The exact cause is still being determined.
