British singer Bonnie Tyler has woken up from a coma after almost two months. This is what her management told the company on Monday Bild newspaper announced.
The 75-year-old had an emergency operation in Portugal in May due to a perforated intestine. Complications arose and Tyler has been in a coma ever since. In a health update, management gave the all-clear. However, the singer’s condition is still serious.
Tyler won’t be playing any concerts for the time being – management announced that all concert dates until the end of August have been canceled. If possible, the concerts would be rescheduled next year.
The management is optimistic to “Bild” that Tyler will be able to perform again in the fall: “We currently believe that the fall concerts can take place as planned.”
