Started naively, learned bitterly: Frenzy and Isi Glück warn against empty promises and false friends in the Ballermann scene. What they advise newcomers and why honesty is rare.

The two Schlager and Ballermann singers Isi Glück (“I shoot myself away”) and Frenzy (“Astronaut”) complained in a podcast that the industry is playing with the dreams of newcomers.
“And I think it’s really, really bad that people who have something to report or have been working in this scene for a long time are simply playing with the dreams of newcomers and promising things that won’t happen or aren’t achievable at the moment,” said Frenzy (33) in the podcast “The 17th Sommerland – the Mallorca Podcast with Ingo Wohlfeil”.
Glück (35) nodded in agreement in the video recording of this conversation, which was published on Instagram.
Frenzy also commented on the Instagram post with an appeal “to all newcomers”: They are not alone. “We know only too well how hard the beginning and this business can be…”
Isi Glück used to be naive
Asked by the moderator which mistakes she would have avoided better at the beginning of her singing career, Glück said: “I was very naive and positive at the beginning and always believed in the good in people, always told a lot because I thought I could trust them. And I think I would be much more careful and thoughtful today when it comes to choosing my circle.” She would “keep this working environment as small as possible”.
Frenzy agreed with her and added in the conversation: “And don’t believe everything you’re told. Yes, there is also a lot of lying in this scene.” (sda/dpa)
