A little more range, higher charging power and revised infotainment: Audi has given the Q4 E-Tron an upgrade. The car manufacturer is also improving trailer load, assistance systems and bi-directional charging.
Different from the corporate and technology brother VW ID.3 Neowhich gets a new look, a new interior and a new name with its facelift, the Q4 E-Tron remains visually closer to its previous appearance. The front and rear in particular have been revised: At the front, the newly designed single frame stands out, which is now in the body color and makes the front appear more flat. Modified air inlets and newly designed details in the bumper are also intended to direct the air flow more specifically around the wheels.
Still available as an SUV and Sportback

A newly designed diffuser and adapted spoiler elements at the rear slightly change the proportions without affecting the basic character. There are also new digital light signatures at the front and OLED rear lights, which can vary their display.

More efficient motor allows slightly more range
The focus of the update is on technology: For this purpose, the manufacturer is revising both the software and central components of the drive train.
Audi is now using a further developed electric motor, which is referred to internally as APP350 and is also used in other new models from the group such as the VW ID.3 Neo. It delivers up to 350 Newton meters of torque and works around 10 percent more efficiently than before, which is noticeable in the range.
With the same battery capacity, this increases to up to 592 kilometers (578 km for the SUV version), around 30 km more than before. The SUV variant with rear-wheel drive has a consumption of 15.6 to 18.4 kWh/100 km, while the Sportback has a consumption of 15.2 to 17.7 kWh.
At the same time, Audi is increasing the maximum charging power for the larger batteries to up to 185 kW. Under optimal conditions, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in around 27 minutes. The preconditioning of the battery is also improved and can be activated automatically or manually.
Only the premium variants for Switzerland
In Switzerland, only the models with the large 82-kilowatt-hour battery are available, with rear-wheel drive or as an all-wheel drive variant, either as an SUV or as a Sportback.
Internationally, the Q4 E-Tron remains available in four performance levels and two battery sizes. The entry-level model has 150 kW (204 hp), above which there are variants with 210, 220 and up to 250 kW (340 hp) output. In addition to rear-wheel drive, Quattro models with an additional front engine, i.e. all-wheel drive, are also available. When it comes to batteries, customers in other countries can choose between two sizes: 63 and 82 kilowatt hours.
New features such as bi-directional charging
The car can charge external devices such as e-bikes (vehicle-to-load) and in the future can also serve as a power storage device for a house (vehicle-to-home). picture: audi
Via Plug & Charge, the charging process at compatible charging stations starts automatically after the cable is plugged in; billing takes place in the background. Also new is the option for bidirectional charging. The Q4 E-Tron can not only absorb energy, but also release it again. External devices can be supplied with power via a socket in the vehicle or an adapter (vehicle-to-load). In addition, the battery can also serve as power storage for a house (vehicle-to-home). In conjunction with a photovoltaic system, self-generated energy can be temporarily stored and used later. This can save a lot of money.
Modern operating system and an optional passenger display
In the interior, Audi is primarily revising the display and operating concept. The central element is a newly designed “Digital Stage” with an 11.9-inch instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch touch display. A passenger display is available as an option for the first time.

The infotainment is now based on Google’s Android Automotive OS operating system and receives additional functions such as its own app store. Like other VW brands, Audi uses its own app store so as not to be dependent on Google’s Play Store.
There is also a further developed voice assistant that controls vehicle functions and can answer questions. General information can also be accessed via voice via a connection to ChatGPT.
Also new are two cooled inductive charging cradle for smartphones.
In addition to a few buttons, there are now rollers on the steering wheel. However, Audi does not have haptic climate control.picture: audi
New assistance systems
Audi is also expanding the range of functions for the assistance systems. Standard features include parking assistance, emergency braking assistant, lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition. Additional systems are optionally available to help with lane keeping, keeping distance and changing lanes.
More towing capacity
Important for everyday life: the trailer load for the Quattro models increases to up to 1,800 kilograms. The Q4 E-Tron also remains at the familiar level in terms of utility, for example the trunk volume of up to 1487 liters with the rear seat folded down.

Market launch and price
The revised models of the Audi Q4 E-Tron can be ordered from May, and the market launch is planned for summer 2026.
With rear-wheel drive, prices start at 57,400 francs for the SUV model and 59,900 francs for the Sportback. With all-wheel drive, the SUV starts at 61,900 francs and the Sportback at 64,000 francs.
