The pop band Alphaville wants to take action against US President Donald Trump releasing a video with their hit “Forever Young”. On his “Truth Social” platform, Trump posted an AI video that was accompanied by the song. It shows animations of him at various times, starting with an image that purports to show him at the age of four.

“Since we, the band Alphaville, do not agree with Trump’s political views in any way and even largely detest them, we will ensure that this post is immediately removed from the Internet,” said a statement published on the band’s Instagram account.
“With kind regards from old Europe”
“We hereby prohibit any further use of Alphaville music by the Republican Party and its president,” it said. The statement was signed with “kind regards from old Europe” and the name of Alphaville singer Marian Gold.
The synth-pop band was founded in Münster in the early 1980s. In addition to “Forever Young,” they are known for the song “Big in Japan,” among other things. (sda/dpa)
