The real estate company Engel & Völkers currently has a manor house to dream about in its range. Three old buildings, with a total area of 15,000 square meters, located between extensive meadows in the gently hilly panorama of the Hochsauerland: Anyone who has 995,000 euros (around 910,500 francs) at their disposal can purchase a manor house and outbuildings from 1738 at Brilon.
The exposé raves about old chestnut stands on the estate grounds and a majestic avenue that leads to the main house. An outside staircase leads to the manor house with 380 square meters of living space and eight rooms. In the entrance the floor is laid in the traditional black and white checkerboard pattern, the other rooms have parquet in an artistic herringbone pattern. There is, among other things, a salon, a fireplace room, a spacious kitchen and a bathroom with a free-standing bathtub and shower.

Historical stable: “A befitting place for a vehicle collection”
The two outbuildings were once cow and horse stables. The historic cowshed was already transformed in 2008 to accommodate guests: In this part of the building there are five rooms, each of which is equipped with its own sanitary area.
According to the real estate agent, the historic horse stable could become a light-flooded studio or a “suitable place for your vehicle collection”. This building is not yet equipped with heating, but empty pipes have already been laid.
The ensemble was added to the monument list as an architectural monument in 1985. The property was used for agriculture until around the middle of the 20th century, when monks from the Franciscan order moved in until it later served as a training facility for the Dortmund Choir Academy, among others. It is 25 minutes to the nearest commercial airport (Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport).
