System change in Iran: Statements from Trump Republicans give little hope

The war against Iran is in full swing. But what comes next? Statements from the US government and Trump allies do not bode well.

While Donald Trump made contradictory statements about how to proceed in the Iran war in various interviews and statements within a few hours, a debate has broken out in the USA about the US government’s strategy for the period after the attacks. “There is no easy answer to what will come next,” said Republican Senator Tom Cotton on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday.

Republican Lindsey Graham joined US President Trump’s call for the Iranian people to decide for themselves who will lead the government in the future. Graham also emphasized that he doesn’t believe in taking responsibility for what has been destroyed, Graham told NBC. An astonishing assessment to say the least. “This is not Iraq. This is not Germany. This isn’t Japan. We will free the people from a terrorist regime,” the Republican continued.
