In St. Gallen on Monday, Federal Councilor Ignazio Cassis (FDP) opened the first conference as part of this year’s Swiss Chairmanship of the OSCE. It lasts two days and deals with the fight against anti-Semitism.
According to a statement from the Department of Foreign Affairs (EDA), the most important topics at the conference include prevention measures and the role of sport in combating hatred and discrimination.
The meeting in St. Gallen is the first of five international conferences in Switzerland on the occasion of the Swiss chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in 2026.
In the late afternoon, the following conference participants will appear before the media: Federal Councilor Ignazio Cassis, Sabine Monauni, Deputy Head of Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Sepp Schellhorn, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria and the St. Gallen Government Councilor Laura Bucher (SP).
