The relationship between Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and his family is said to be broken. Now the 26-year-old describes his view of things.

For a few years now, there have been persistent reports that Brooklyn Peltz Beckham is said to have problems with his parents – soccer star David Beckham and ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. The difficulties are also said to have something to do with the 26-year-old’s wife, model Nicola Peltz. Recently it is said to have escalated so much that the family now only communicates through lawyers.

Now Brooklyn Beckham is speaking out for the first time, writing on his Instagram channel: “I have remained silent for years and tried to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team continued to turn on the press, so I had no choice but to speak out and tell the truth about some of the lies that were being printed.”
Even before his wedding to Nicola Peltz, his parents tried to break up the couple. “And it hasn’t stopped to this day.” He reveals: “My wife was repeatedly treated disrespectfully by my family, no matter how hard we tried to form a unit.” When he began to assert himself against his family, they “continually attacked him publicly, including through press releases […] Even my brothers were made to attack me on social media before they finally blocked me out of the blue last summer.”
He further clarifies: His wife would not control him, these are false claims in the media. “I was controlled by my parents almost my entire life. I grew up with overwhelming fear. Since I separated from my family, this fear has disappeared for the first time in my life.” His parents were always only concerned with the external image of the family. “The staged social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships were an integral part of the life I was born into,” he said. “The Beckham brand comes first, it is important to present a “perfect family”.
In the long Instagram post he makes it clear: “I don’t want to reconcile with my family.”
