After the USA resumed attacks on Iran, US President Donald Trump also spoke out on social media. In a post on Truth Social, he shares a screenshot of an X-post from the research network Open Source Intel, which shows an image of a violent explosion and is said to have come from Iran. Trump wrote: “This is retaliation for yesterday’s Iranian attack on ships. If that happens again, it will be much worse!”
It’s just stupid: The research network found out shortly afterwards that the image was not a current attack and was therefore older. It is said to be from 2025.
