The Ukrainian army has once again attacked Russia with drone attacks deep into the hinterland and targeted the enemy’s oil industry. Fires broke out at refineries in Saratov on the Volga and Nizhnekamsk in Tatarstan, Ukrainian and Russian Telegram channels reported.
According to Governor Roman Bussargin, a man was killed in Saratov, almost 800 kilometers from Ukraine. Otherwise he only confirmed damage to civilian infrastructure. Nizhnekamsk is located about 1,200 kilometers from Ukrainian territory.
More than 400 Ukrainian combat drones
The Defense Ministry in Moscow said 415 enemy drones had been intercepted over Russian territory by morning. Such numbers cannot be independently verified, but they indicate a major attack. A fire was also reported at a military airfield in the Voronezh region, south of Moscow.
Ukraine has been resisting a large-scale Russian invasion for more than four years. Their counterattacks on the Russian oil industry have already caused a fuel crisis in many regions. (nil/sda/dpa)
