According to a recent survey, the AfD remains the strongest force. In the so-called Sunday trend for the “Bild” newspaper, the party achieved 29 percent and is therefore still ahead of the Union, which, as in the previous week, achieved 22 percent.
The SPD lost one percentage point compared to the previous week and reached 12 percent. This would put them behind the Greens in the survey, who remain at 13 percent. The Left has 10 percent, the Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) has 3 percent and the FDP has 4 percent. Other parties together reach 7 percent.
Coalitions: Black-Green-Red would be possible
The survey results only result in a small mathematical majority. The Union, SPD and Greens together would come to 47 percent. Since, according to Insa, 14 percent of the votes go to parties that would fail at the 5 percent hurdle, this alliance could achieve a parliamentary majority.
The Union and AfD also had a mathematical majority. However, the Union continues to rule out cooperation with the AfD.
The survey was carried out by the opinion research institute Insa on behalf of the German “Bild” newspaper. A total of 1,204 eligible voters were surveyed from June 22nd to 26th, 2026. According to the institute, the maximum error tolerance is plus/minus 2.9 percentage points.
