Yemen’s government ends defense agreement with Emirates

In Yemen, the government has declared an end to the agreement with the United Arab Emirates in the fight against the Houthis and called for the immediate withdrawal of Emirati troops. Presidential Council Chairman Rashad al-Alimi said this in a speech.

The alliance between the government and Saudi Arabia and the Emirates in the fight against the Houthis has effectively ended and the conflict between the actual allies has surprisingly escalated. (sda/dpa)
