Marjorie Taylor Greene is a third-term U.S. Congresswoman from Georgia. Former supporter of incumbent US President Donald Trump. Today one of his harshest critics.
In September 2025, right-wing activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead during a rally. Eleven days after his death, Greene watched his memorial service on television. The speech of his widow forgiving his murderer. And that of the US President, who says: “He didn’t hate his opponents. He wanted the best for her. I disagreed with Charlie on this point. I hate my opponents and don’t want the best for them.”

That was the “worst quote,” as Greene told a reporter months after the memorial service New York Times says.
She says:
“Our side was trained by Donald Trump to never apologize and never admit when you are wrong.”
Greene on their adapted behavior
After the death of Charlie Kirk and the reaction of many of her Republican colleagues, Greene realized that she had suddenly lost all appetite for revenge.
The beginning of the end of their MAGA era
Greene went against her party in the House of Representatives and argued that all investigative documents on Jeffrey Epstein should be made public. In their opinion, the example of the Epstein files shows everything that is wrong in politics.
“Rich, powerful elites doing terrible things and getting away with it. And women are the victims.”

On November 15th she announced that she would be stepping down on January 5th. A year earlier than her term would end.
Her last contact with Donald Trump followed one day later. Via chat. That same day, she received an anonymous email to her personal email address threatening her college-age son. The email said: “Derek will be killed soon. He should take better care of himself.”
The subject line contained the nickname that the representative received from the US President after her resignation. “Marjorie Traitor Greene.”
The now-abandoned mother then wrote a message to Donald Trump. She argued that the family should be kept out of such matters. However, instead of showing understanding, Trump just insulted Greene and said she only had herself to blame.
The official opinion
The New York Times then asked the White House whether it could comment on this incident. The answer came from media spokesman Davis Ingle. It said that Donald Trump was the undisputed leader of the fastest-growing political movement in American history – the MAGA movement.
Greene is giving up on her voters in the middle of her term and abandoning the important fight her party is in. So you don’t have time for their petty bitterness.

Shortly after announcing her resignation and breaking with the US president, Greene began receiving requests to take part in talk shows. Talk shows she had never heard of or thought nothing of before. For example, the morning show “The View” on ABC, which mainly represents and discusses liberal opinions.
“These women were exactly the kind of women who have always been my friends – they are just like me.”

Greene immediately felt comfortable in their presence and discussed and talked to them about US politics and the administration of Donald Trump. She was looking forward to the conversations and the honest opinions because, as she told the New York Times, she was fed up with toxic politics.

And what next?
Marjorie Taylor Greene told the New York Times that she didn’t know what she would do in the future. After taking a sip from her wine glass, she added, “I need a break.”
It is currently a kind of “radioactive” for both political sides. And therefore something like homeless in politics. What the current congresswoman will do from next year and the end of her political career to date is unclear. Likewise, whether she stays in politics or retires. (nib)
