An incident occurred during a hearing in the US Senate. Marine veteran Brian McGinnis interrupted the meeting of a military policy subcommittee with loud heckling. He protested against the US and Israel’s war against Iran and shouted, among other things: “Nobody wants to fight for Israel!”
Three police officers then intervened and tried to remove the demonstrator from the meeting room. Together they finally dragged McGinnis out. Republican Senator Tim Sheehy also took part in the intervention.

McGinnis is a Marine veteran and is running for the Green Party in North Carolina. In the past, he had made several critical comments about US military operations in videos.
How Reuters Reportedly, he broke his arm during the arrest. For him, the protest now has legal consequences. As US broadcaster CBS News reports, McGinnis was arrested and later charged. He is accused, among other things, of three cases of bodily harm against police officers, multiple counts of resisting arrest and obstructing proceedings.
