The US is not planning a second attack on Venezuela. This is what President writes on his platform Truth Social. “I have canceled the previously expected second attack, it looks like this is not needed,” said Trump.

He cited the “good cooperation” between the two countries as the reason for this. Trump said he sees the fact that the South American country is currently releasing political prisoners as a sign of peace. This is a “very important and smart gesture”.
Despite the temporary all-clear, the US President is not expecting widespread relaxation. So he announced that he would leave all ships in position – “for security reasons”.
The USA carried out an attack on Venezuela on January 3rd. President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were kidnapped. According to Venezuela, around 100 security forces and civilians were killed in the attack. (dab)
