On Sunday evening, Collien Fernandes, who is suing her ex-husband Christian Ulmen for digital violence, will appear on presenter Caren Miosga’s ARD talk show. Also there: the German Minister of Justice Stefanie Hubig and Ronen Steinke, the senior editor in the legal policy department of the Süddeutsche Zeitung. Ulmen’s lawyer, Christian Schertz, is not very pleased with the choice of guests.
According to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung Schertz is surprised that Miosga only allows one side to speak on her show during an ongoing court case. “The television court meets with the highest representative of the judiciary in Germany and the complainant,” argues Scherz. He calls the planned broadcast “blatantly illegal”. His offer to appear on the show himself was rejected by the editor-in-chief of the show “Caren Miosga” and the responsible lawyer at Norddeutscher Rundfunk.

He wrote to the latter: “We consider the fact that only one party on the show is in ongoing proceedings to be vulnerable and illegal for a variety of reasons.”
Investigations are ongoing
After the Mirror After publishing an article about the case of Collien Fernandes on March 21, 2026, the Itzehoe public prosecutor’s office reopened the investigation, which had been discontinued in 2025.
Fernandes accuses Ulmen of abusing her identity on the Internet. He is said to have created numerous email accounts and fake profiles under her name in order to get in touch with hundreds of men. In these chats, not only sexual conversations were held and meetings were promised; He also spread the baseless story that she was the victim of a mass rape by 21 men. The presumption of innocence continues to apply to the defendant Ulmen.
Ulmen had the deepfake allegations against him rejected in a letter from his lawyer on Friday and in turn accused his ex-wife of violence.
The show “Caren Miosga” runs on Sunday evenings from 9:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m ARD. (val)
