The track damage between Lenzburg and Othmarsingen AG has been repaired, as an SBB spokeswoman said at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency.
Since part of the switch had to be replaced, the SBB expected a restriction that would last several hours. The construction work was completed shortly before 3 a.m. on Tuesday night, the spokeswoman said.
Because of the track damage, rail traffic on this route was severely affected on Monday evening. There were delays, cancellations and diversions. According to the SBB, the lines IC1, IC3, IC5, IC8, IR55, RE37 as well as the S-Bahn S23 and S42 were affected. (sda)
