Die Toten Hosen have announced their “last regular studio album” on social media.
The new album «Drink up! We have to go» will be released on May 29th, the German punk rock band announced. That’s what it will be a bonus album with 25 old songs – which were re-recorded by the band with musician friends.
45 years after the founding of the Toten Hosen, a circle has been closed, the band said in a statement: “Someone shouted in the rehearsal room: ‘Let’s make one last album!’ I have no idea who it was exactly, but there was certainly great enthusiasm. We then decided together to fire on all cylinders again and see what we could.”

The photo for the cover of «Drink up! We have to go” was taken by the world-famous photo artist Andreas Gursky, a good friend of the Düsseldorf band.
Starting in June, Die Toten Hosen have planned a big tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. There will also be an appearance at a festival in Great Britain. The band has also announced that it will be playing live in Argentina for the last time. Three performances are scheduled there in October.
The final chord of the tour is planned for 2027 in her hometown of Düsseldorf. (sda/dpa)
