Golf star Tiger Woods is involved in a car accident again. He was arrested on suspicion of drugs – and released again on Saturday night.
He was released after eight hours in custody after paying bail. This was announced by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (near Palm Beach, Florida). The amount of the deposit was initially unknown.
Tiger Woods, 50, was arrested Friday afternoon for impaired driving and refusing a test in connection with his car accident. Woods was driving an SUV and overtook a vehicle that was trying to turn at the same time. Woods’ SUV struck the other vehicle, tipped to the side and skidded across the road. According to the sheriff in Florida, no one was injured. A breath alcohol test on Tiger Woods showed a value of “zero”. Woods refused an additional urine test.
Back in February 2021, back in Los Angeles, Tiger Woods drove off the road in a car, rolled over several times and suffered complicated leg fractures.
Woods recently planned to take part in the US Masters in Augusta, for which he is always eligible to compete as a former winner. (sda/dpa)
