Amazon MGM Studios paid $40 million for the rights to the documentary “Melania” and invested another $35 million in advertising – making the film the most expensive documentary of all time to date. It was directed by Brett Ratner, who hadn’t worked in Hollywood for a long time and appears in the Epstein files.
Very popular in Texas and Florida
There were no screenings for critics before the film’s release. The first reviews published on Friday were mostly negative. However, the reaction among cinemagoers was much more positive. “Melania” received a CinemaScore rating of “A” from viewers. The audience was mainly older (over 55 years old), 72 percent female and 75 percent white. The film did particularly well in the southern United States, such as Florida and Texas. So two states that were in Republican hands in the last elections. (fake)
