The arrest took place as part of an international investigation that also involved Swiss and Australian authorities and child protection organizations, the organization reports APLE Cambodia (Action Pour Les Enfants). The 47-year-old Swiss was arrested on February 20th.
Schweizer is said to have abused an 8-year-old girl
Now he has been charged. The allegations: production of child pornography, sexual intercourse with minors under 15 years of age and indecent acts with minors under 15 years of age.
The man is said to have sexually abused an eight-year-old girl, according to a statement. This is said to have happened several times in 2025. The girl is currently receiving psychological care.
What punishment the Swiss now faces?
Months of investigation finally convicted the Swiss. They were initiated by the Australian and Swiss authorities. Possible victims were then identified in Cambodia. The police also confiscated child pornographic material.
The message does not indicate what punishment awaits him. In 2019, an Israeli was sentenced to three years in prison for sexually abusing underage boys. One Evaluation of APLE from 2015 showed that of 26 convictions, some of which could have been punished with up to 20 years in prison, no sentence exceeded nine years in prison. (front)
