The cybercrime center in the southwestern state of Baden-Württemberg brought charges against the man for, among other things, serious abuse of children and those under his protection as well as the production of child pornographic content. He is accused of 41 cases of sexual violence against children, some of them serious, as the cybercrime center and the police also announced.

The accused worked as a childminder in the Rems-Murr district adjacent to Stuttgart until his arrest in October 2025. A police spokesman said he looked after the children at home. Since 2020, the man is said to have carried out sexual acts on or in front of at least one of a total of eight children under his care in a total of 41 cases.
Youngest victim still in infancy
The investigators did not comment on the man’s age or where he lived or worked. Otherwise he can be identified quickly, said a spokesman. There will also be no further details about the acts of abuse he is accused of.
The victims were between less than one and twelve years old. The affected child, who was in her first year of life, was in the room during the sexual acts, but was not herself affected by an attack, it said.
Revealed in swap meet
In addition, the German is said to have recorded children during sexual acts with each other in two cases. A camera was installed in at least one room where the children were cared for. The allegations continue that the man also passed on child pornography content to others.
The investigators tracked down the man with the help of law enforcement authorities in the neighboring state of Bavaria as part of investigations into a so-called peer-to-peer network – these are exchange sites for child pornography. Electronic devices with relevant images were ultimately found on the man. He has been in custody since his arrest. The Stuttgart regional court must now decide whether to admit the charges.
