Snowfall has caused traffic chaos in Paris. Bus services throughout the city have been suspended. The RATP transport company said the first buses could only run again in the afternoon.

There were also disruptions to trams, the metro and the RER trains due to the weather. Morning flights were reduced at the city’s airports. Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot called on people in the Paris region to postpone their morning journeys.
It has only been rare for snow to remain overnight in Paris in recent years. But the snowy winter front also brought restrictions in other parts of the country – from the north to the midwest.
