After the publication of serious allegations by his ex-wife, Collien Fernandes, the actor Christian Ulmen has now taken legal action. His lawyer, the well-known media lawyer Christian Schertz, has submitted an application for an interim injunction against the “spiegel” publishing house to the Hamburg district court.
The controversial publications
At the center of the legal dispute are two articles that appeared in March 2026: The print article “Exposed on the Net” in the issue of March 20th. And the online reporting under the title “You virtually raped me” from March 21st.
The Hamburg regional court confirmed that the publisher had been given a period of time to comment, as the German weekly newspaper did The time reported. A decision is therefore not expected in the coming days.
Three key points
Ulmen’s legal counsel is targeting three specific aspects of the reporting with the request. Firstly, “Spiegel” should refrain from giving the impression that Ulmen created or distributed deepfake videos of his ex-wife. Secondly, the defense defends itself against formulations that suggest that Ulmen physically attacked, injured or seriously threatened Fernandes. And thirdly, statements about a trial before the district court in Palma de Mallorca in March 2026 are attacked.
The trigger was extensive research by “Spiegel”, in which Collien Fernandes made serious allegations against her former partner. The moderator stated that Ulmen had been running fake profiles under her name for years. Manipulated nude photos and sex videos (deepfakes) were sent in a professional environment.
According to Fernandes, Ulmen confessed the crimes to her after she filed a complaint against unknown people. The actress also spread these allegations on her own Instagram channel. (val)
