The controversial raids by federal authorities against migrants in the US state of Minnesota should be stopped, according to Border Patrol Commander Tom Homan. “In view of the successes,” US President Donald Trump agreed to his proposal to end the operations, Homan said at a press conference.

“I will also remain in Minnesota a little longer to monitor the troop withdrawal and ensure its success,” said Homan. He says Minnesota has become “less of a sanctuary state” since local authorities began working with ICE.
The ICE operation caused an international uproar because two US citizens were shot. (dab)
