French far-right leader Marine Le Pen’s political future hangs in the balance as she faces an appeals trial in Paris, a case that could derail her party’s ambitions to radically reshape France with anti-immigration and nationalist policies. It will be Le Pen’s first opportunity to speak since the trial opened last week, FRANCE 24’s Olivia Bizot said, adding that prosecutors are expected to question her on the role of key individuals involved in the case, in which she was found guilty of misusing EU funds.
