US rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was convicted of sexual crimes, has asked Donald Trump for a pardon, according to the US President. Trump said in an interview with the New York Times that he had no plans to comply with the request. The request reached him in a letter.

Combs was sentenced in October to four years and two months in prison and a fine in connection with prostitution. His lawyers have filed an appeal.
Combs – who used the pseudonyms “Puff Daddy”, “P. Diddy” and “Diddy” – was arrested in September 2024 for alleged sexual offenses in New York. He has been in custody ever since. The public prosecutor’s office has accused him of having abused, threatened and coerced women into fulfilling his sexual desires for years.
In recent months, Trump has pardoned, among other things, several entrepreneurs convicted of economic crimes. (dab/sda/dpa)
