Marius Borg Høiby has been on trial at the Oslo court since February 3rd. The son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson of Crown Prince Haakon was charged by the public prosecutor on 38 counts.

We are talking about four rapes, mistreatment of a former partner, several acts of violence, trespassing, property damage, violations of a ban on contact with another partner, unauthorized video recordings of several women’s genitals, death threats, insults to the police and traffic violations.
On day eleven in court, the focus is on the alleged rape of the fourth victim. Several film files were found on Høiby’s cell phone. He is said to have made 27 videos of the woman on November 2, 2024, the night of the alleged rape in an Oslo hotel.
According to sleep researcher Ståle Pallesen, who also testified in the trial, she was said to have been drunk with sleep. “In this state it takes a while to process what is happening. “Perhaps she was unable to resist the actions because of sleep or a sleeping potion,” he said, according to “VG”.

When asked why he filmed at all, Høiby simply replied: “I like filming.” When further asked why he only filmed the genitals, he explained: “That’s just what interests me.” Finally, the prosecutor wanted to know why he hadn’t deleted the videos – and Høiby replied: “I looked at them, I thought they were good.”
“I don’t see that as a problem”
The 29-year-old tried to justify the recordings: “As I said, I didn’t ask for permission, but there was no question that she saw them.” He also sees no problem in filming a woman who is interested in the erotic platform OnlyFans. According to him, the alleged victim had considered becoming an OnlyFans model.

When the prosecutor asked whether this information would justify filming, Høiby admitted that he should have asked for permission, but also emphasized: “I don’t see that as a problem.” He couldn’t imagine that the woman was sleeping.
The woman also said that at one point she even said “stop.” Høiby can’t remember that. He explained: “If she says ‘Stop’ then it’s over, that’s completely understandable and that’s just how it is. If she says, “I’m tired,” then maybe it would be okay to carry on a little longer. But I don’t remember a specific situation.”
