US President Donald Trump was photographed again with a bruise on his hand at the World Economic Forum in Davos. When asked about this, he told journalists on the flight back to the USA that he had hit his hand on a table. The 79-year-old also referred to his use of aspirin: “I would say take aspirin if you care about your heart, but don’t take aspirin if you don’t want small bruises.”

Trump has been noticed several times in the past with bruises on his hands, which have repeatedly sparked speculation about his health. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the US President recently admitted that he had been taking a higher dose of aspirin every day for years than doctors recommended. “They say aspirin is good for thinning the blood, and I don’t want thick blood flowing through my heart,” he said.

On this occasion, Trump also pointed out that taking aspirin caused him to bruise easily. He and his spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt had previously cited frequent handshakes as another reason for the discoloration. (sda/dpa)
