Two brothers of Renée Good, who was killed in an operation by the US immigration authorities ICE in Minneapolis, have reported their suffering, visibly distressed.

The “completely surreal scenes” that took place on the streets of Minneapolis are beyond description, Luke Ganger told members of the US Congress on Tuesday (local time). “These encounters with federal officials transform the community and change many lives, including ours, forever.”
The brothers spoke at a U.S. Congressional forum focused on the use of force by federal officers. According to the New York Times, which published the video recording, only Democrats were present.
Luke Ganger indirectly appealed to politicians to do something about the violence on the streets as a result of US President Donald Trump’s rigorous deportation policy. “We had consoled ourselves somewhat over the past two weeks with the fact that Renée’s death could perhaps bring about change in our country,” he said. “But that’s not the case.”

The 37-year-old and Alex Pretti, also a US citizen, were killed in January during operations by federal officers in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This caused a huge wave of outrage across the country.
The actions of the ICE forces, which are part of President Donald Trump’s deportation policy, had already caused great criticism in the search for undocumented migrants. (sda/dpa)
