Six months ago, three suspects were arrested and taken into custody. The public prosecutor’s office has not yet been able to say whether there are other suspects in the investigators’ sights and whether a criminal case is already being considered.
What happened in the attack in June?
During the attack on the night of June 14th to 15th, 2025, masked and armed perpetrators broke into the Geiss family villa near Ramatuelle near Saint-Tropez. The couple said they were threatened and injured. Carmen Geiss suffered injuries to her neck and Robert Geiss said he was kicked in the ribs. Valuables were also stolen. “We had to open the safes,” said Robert Geiss at the time. The responsible public prosecutor’s office had confirmed the robbery, but did not comment on the details.
After the attack, the Geiss family increased the security of their property with an alarm system and new video surveillance. A three meter high fence was also built around the property.
The TV show “The Geissens” has been running since 2011
Carmen and Robert Geiss were both born in Cologne and have been married since 1994. At the time, the entrepreneur owned a sportswear label and Carmen worked as a model and fitness trainer. Since 2011, the two have been giving insights into their jet-set life with their television show “The Geissens – a terribly glamorous family”. (sda/dpa)
